d15 died, time for something new

Ok so the stock motor in my 92 civic dx died today. Overheated and sounded like it threw a rod or something like that. Wouldnt start, dont feel like taking it apart because im sure its toast.

Anyway I want to put something with a bit more umph in there, and i was looking on hmotorsonline.com and saw this:

My questions are:
Do I need the hydro tranny or is mine ok?
Will my ECU work?
Can you think of anything I need besides a way to control vtec, and what is easiest/best option for that?

your tranny should be fine, your going to have to wire up vtec for your dx harness. get like a p28
