because the .1 liters makes any difference in your 17.8 second 1/4 mile pass. that .1 liters isn't anything noticeable in all honesty

just buy a fucking 500 dollar d15 and drop it in there. why would you waste your money boring a d15? drop a b18b in there if you want to get some kind of gain. or just swap a d15.

a 1.5 is extremly nutless, I don't care what kinda motor it is
I'd take a z6 or a y8 anyday.
And I was running 14.9's with my 1.6 non vtec, which was mostly stock with no power adders

1. you're comparing a sohc 1.5 to a dohc 1.6. go compare a jdm d15 to a usdm d16. they make about the same power and go just as fast as each other. the .1 makes no difference at such low power levels. hell with the same trannies both motors will pull in similar times granted they have the same hp
2. you're running 14.9's in a car the size of a go-kart. i could put a can opener motor into into a crx and scribble v8 on it in poop and it would run 14's.

5 h.p. in a 120 h.p. motor is alot. Go buy a 2 h.p. lawnmower, I'll race you with my 2.2 h.p. and smoke you all day 
for the price of a jdm 1.5 swap (~atleast $1000 including shipping) It is not worth it

that's where gearing comes into play. with the same tranny that 5 hp won't make an ounce difference when you start talking 15 hp difference than yes. there are so many factors that would affect the outcome other wise that the .1 means nothing
and go race me with a 2.2 hp lawnmower, i'll run 410 gears in the bitch
btw we did a jdm d15 motor swap last week for 1000 total. 500 for the motor 500 installed. it's in a red 98 ek.

Daily driving a b16 swapped car, gives me the right to say this. The gearing for the underpowered motors sucks. There is nothing like running down the road at 60 and turning 4 grand. You can't get out of first fast enough, second is ok. I have no idea what the hell 3rd is for. and 4th is my city cruising gear. 5th is great for people who don't know how to downshift when they want to pass someone.
I am not a fan at all of the low geared tranny. In fact I hate the biotch
I did a jdm d15 swap for $1500 a few months ago
$300 for my labor $1200 for the swap. So the price is relative. I would blow a g on something more worth while.
