h22a swap into 92 cx hatchy!!

DONT SAY THIS HAS BEEN KILLED AND IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT DONT talk at all only answer if you have done the swap!!!! ANyway I already searched and THERE WEre LOTS OF opinions BUT VERY FEW FACTS ON what needs to be done I don’t want a b16 I don’t want a b18c so don’t advise this im not worried about the devilish 80 pounds difference. im going to upgrade my suspension anyway. BASICALY WHAT wire harness and cv and shit do I need and will the stock civic fire wall harness plug in to h22 engine harness as well as to the ecu. Also do I have to get a new shift linkage out of a prelude/accord or do I just modify the existing linkage if so any ideas on were to get the linkage kit. And any ideas on were to find some of these parts would be awesome! I really want to find what the hell needs to happen im getting this swap done I already got the motor and tranny for CHEAP! so hook a brother up thanks in advance

Alright I have done this swap before on my 95 Civc DX Coupe. Yes it is a nice swap but it is true about the weight my car wouldn't talk curves for shit and I am talking about aftermarket Suspention (Coil-Overs and Struts). Alright it is kinda easy to do the swap but you will have to cut you passenger side mount all up. and if you don't get the holes just right you will get viberation like hell from the axels binding up. It took me and my friend 3 days to do everything. I ended up selling the car and bought a 94 DX Hatch and swaped a B18C (ITR) engine in it and I was more happy with the swap than the H22A but if you do get the H22A MAKE SURE you get LSD and if you don't all you will do is spin. The car is great at Low and Mid but not much Top End. Any more questions?

Use the stock wire harness off the engine you are pulling out of your car. You will need a 91-93 Accord EX Half-Shaft, 93 Integra Axels

EDIT: you will need to extend your Fuel Line and extend your Clutch Line for the Tranny Ohhh Have fun cutting holes all in the center of you Floor Board for the Cable Shifter......That part is a BITCH! Yes a shifter out of an Accord or Prelude will work. BTW if I was you I'd go with a P28 ECU (92-95 EX/Si Computer) alot less wiring you have to do. Just run 2 wires for VTEC and Oil Pressure. There is alot of work involved your just have to take you time.

I'll be doing this swap very soon too, have the engine/tranny just need all the extra bs to do it.
So you wouldnt recommend getting the wire harness from Hasport, or their axles?

Basically my parts list looks like this:
hasport motor mounts, wire harness, and axles
tein ss coilovers
shift linkages and misc parts

What brand intake and fuel pump would you recommend?

i know you'll definately need a new linkage. I went with the accord, which has it's pros and cons.

OMFG..I typed out this gigantic post..and my browser locks up..holy fuck taht sux..sorry but this will not be shit for detail as before, will be straight, assholish, and to the point, with no detail for now.

Axles...teg/accord setup will work but it sucks. Get DSS or raxles axles. Trust me..they will be a good investment.

Shifter...The prelude linkage is shorter than the accord. And also remember accord linkage-accord cables, prelude linkage-prelude cables. Cannot mix and match.

Wiring...stock harness modified to work..like prospeed said

ECU..P28 sux nuts for the h22, so does p72. Stick with the p13 if you want the full h22 potential and don't want it running lean as hell.

Suspension..You gotta do better than just shocks and springs. I had busted ass stock shocks, decent progressive rate springs and teg swaybars and my 6th gen civic handled pretty well. Ya just gotta have more balls to drive it in the twisties.

Have fun with the EGR shit too!

Again, sorry this is brunt, mean and assholish...but I just typed for about 10 minutes and its all gone..this si the gist, w/ no exquisite detail which I'll come back and add later when I'm not pissed.

Also do me a favor and check out the h22 del sol thread about 3 down..it directly applies to your setup too.

hello
I just finished this swap in my 94 hatch. Im only 18 and dont know jack about swaping engins but this is what I learned;

Things to remember that I discovered along the way-
-do lots of research first!!
-cut the hole for shifter cables before you put the engine in
-dont be careless and break off sensors as you "drop" the engine in
-order all the parts you need all at once not as you realize you need them
-realize how much money you are spending and that you will never see half ass much as you put in to it.

I got my wire harnes done by hasport and it seems to work. I got axles from a company called Raxel. I dont have any more info about Raxle but they were a good price. Dont forget about an injector resistor box which doesnt come stock in a 4th gen civic. I pulled one from an 89 Accord at a junk yard and it worked.

But now my swap is done and my car is the fastest car i have ever steped foot in. (I know, I need to get out more) 15-20 mpg not what i was used to in my 97 civic.

I am still riding on stock rotors, and rims, suspension; which are completly shot by the way. 100% sleeper. The car breaks fine and handles well even at speeds of 120mph.

1st gear-eeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
2nd gear-eeeeeeeerrrrrrrr....
3rd gear-eeerrrr...

I cant wait to smoke the assholes at school who think their neon with a chip and intake is a fast car.

I'm happy with it and you will be.
