thanks for the info guys! helps alot, erm where do i get the custom link cables?? and box?(that the gear box you on about?). thanks kyle

i have a eg2 1993 del sol b16a VTI and i have a 1993 Prelude h22a for the swop.

you can get shifter cables and the shifter box from your local junk yard most of the time. out of a accord or prelude

Dont i need custom cables(aint it just a long bar??)? and what do you mean by box? gear box? ive got that with the H22 engine...


as im putting a h22 into my 1.6vti del sol.... im confused here lol... so... ill put the engine+gearbox in... then to connect my gear nob bit to the gearbox i need????... remember i've just changed the engine? thanks

h22 dont have shift linkage like a normal b series do. it has shifter cables and another box. that you have to mount inside your car

ahhh i see what you mean mate. well i have the whole h22 prelude so i have the rite cables an box? an do they fit onto my del sol ? or do i have to make modifications? thanks kyle

only modification you'll have to do. is cut where your stock shift linkage hole is to make the shift box fit and bolt down.

you might could google image where you need to cut. but hasport has a print out somewhere on the internet it tells you where to lay it at, and also where to cut.
also you do have to modify your wiring harness to work if you didn't know that also.

ooooo.... i have to modify the wiring harness??? lol, someone just said i had to extend a few wires what bits do i have to modify?if you know you should write a book and sell it

well you just extend some wires really. Nothing to big. just your dizzy, alt, fuel injectors, you have to wire in a resistor box to your injectors, extend your o2 sensor, and maybe one or two more. Really just lay your harness over the motor and you'll be able to tell which ones you need to extend. there is a forum on h-t that tells you how to wire in the resistor box into your wiring harness.
