What could it be?

Gearbox on my B18C acts funny under hard acceleration. During 'normal' driving its all good. Once I get on it, it feels like it wants to grind when shifting into 3rd gear. Anybody have any insight/experience with this?

define "acts funny."

my first guess is that you should try changing your tranny fluid first.

Sorry, I just get a grind into third gear under hard acceleration only. I'll replace the tranny fluid and see what happens.

Yeah, go ahead and change the fluid. Either use the new oem fluid with the white cap, redline mt90, amsoil mtf or gm synchromesh w/friction modifier.

tech wrench After some troubleshooting..............

Replaced the tranny fluid with the whitecap Honda manual gearbox fluid. Gearbox feels better. I found what caused the problem though. My intake was rubbing on the clutch line and caused a small hole. This caused some clutch issues. I ordered a new clutch line.....But now I have a question. Engine: B18C, Chassis: EJ6...Is there an intake that will bolt in to my engine bay that will utilize the existing bracket holes? Should I look for a Civic intake or a Teg intake? Don't wanna keep rubbin myself raw... Thanks!

So you rubbed a hole in the line and you are leaking fluid?
