BMW hands down. Its faster than a E46 M3 and its turbo. Vishnu offers a reflash that ups the power to over 350/350. Mazda does offer the safety of awd but BMW hands down
so im still having a hard time contemplating on what to do. Weather or not I should trade in my mazdaspeed6 which I am currently financing at 370 a month for the 335I sports sedan for 570 a month leased with no down payment? I know this is a BMW forum and most likely all will say the 335I but honestly just from a third perspective is the extra 200 a month in payments really worth it?

imo, I don't really see a point in leasing a car, but if it'll work out for you; how long is the lease on the Bmw? Its gonna be more than $200 a month figuring out insurance and fuel costs. I would just pay off the mazda and then buy a used 335i. By that time, it won't cost as much and you'll have room for mods if you do so.

the bmw probably gets similar gas mileage 19/28 and the insurance cost should also be close, turbocharged sport sedans....

Mods: Only mod thus far is a K&N drop in filter.....
I own a 2006 Mazdaspeed6. For the money there is no comparison. But yes the BMW is a great car. But not for $45k when you can get what I got for $23k with all the same things minus the big price tag!!! And I have run with a 335i. My car kept up just fine......
Mods: Enough to out run Charger challenger SRT-8's
You need to look at if you can really afford this car you don't want it becoming a burden, 570 a month is going to be more like 800 a month because of gas, insurance, up keep etc. The BMW cost 40-45k! Do you honestly make 45k after taxes a year? You are already upside down with the Mazda, Don't buy another liability that cost more then your yearly income. Keep the Mazda and pay it off as fast as you can.

wow way to bring back an old thread. 1st off I traded the Speed6 for the 335i and couldn't be any happier. The 335i is all around a much better car. Performance handling comfort you name it. I owned my speed6 for exactly a year and it was a great car for money that's for sure being that I got it for 21k out the door. I miss the awd at times and I loved the way it sounded with my mods. But the 335i itself pulls away stock for stock and where I'm at with my tune it's no comparison. As for the Salary let's just say that 45k is descent. But if you have ever driven or rode in a 335i you'll see what I mean. I thought the same too while owning my speed6. If you look through my thread you'll see the pictures of the speed6 and my new 335i.
i wasn't a big fan of how the E46 looked. but yeh, the 335i is a very nice car. i would rock that over the mazda. did the mazdaspeed6 have more of a front drive bias or rear on it's awd setup?

The speed6 was based on a FWD bias. So It's full time FWD until it detects wheel spin and then it goes AWD. But the AWD in that car was really amazing. I'll tell you one thing I loved that car in the rain much more than the 335i. I could get into traffic and get up and go with the speed6 as for the 335i I have to feather it cause DTC kicks in. For the price you can't beat the speed6. I just fell in love with the 335i when I saw it at the BMW dealership. Plus one major thing I couldn't stand about the speed6 was that even though it had a redlone of about 6700rpm the power would die right at 6. So basically you'de have to short shift to stay within the power band other wise after 6k rpm boost tapers down from 15.5psi to 11psi. It's was a quick car off the line I'll tell you that much.
