help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So I bought a 2004 accord ex 4rd knowing that it was missing the proper seats. The srs light is on and I was told that this is because the right seats for the car have airbags in them. So I get leather seats for the car with air bags in them. The dealer tells me that now the reason the srs light is on is because the seats are not the right ones, my car did not have leather seats to begin with. The opds censor and the sws censor are sending the srs the wrong code. He the dealer rep tells me that I need to get the proper opds . so I find out that the opds in the leather seats is the same as the cloth seats…….. so I at this point have NO idea what to do. Is the a way to recalibrate the srs for the leather seat configuration. Or am I just well you know. I need some ideas. Thx guys

If the honda uses a LIN system in that year accors than yes if it had cloth seats it needs to know it now has leather seats because everything is the same in that on board srs module and tho the squib module(or whatever honda calls it) may have the same part number and all the internal configuration of that squib is for another car, so in theory if this is the issue the srs module on board you're vehicle needs to be recalibrated for those seats... because again it may have the same information as the cloth seats but just that one fact of the seats being leather that extra information will conflict with the communication between the squib and the srs module on board and will cause the srs light to illuminate with a p code of the srs module not being able to communicate with the etacs because the squibs aren't contacting the srs module and the srs module shuts itself down due to safety reasons.... as far as what the dealer is telling you In think they have no idea what is wrong with the seats and they're telling you to get the factory seats beacuse they want to start at square one and not guess and say ohh well it's the leather that's why it has this code.. because they don't wanna have to deal with the unknown factors if they don't have to.
