I originally owned a 1995 Acura Integra LS sedan and as of last summer, moved on to a new car. It was my first car and I had it for a little over 7 years and wasn't planning to part with it until
this happened. I only did some minor modifications to it in regards to the engine (my car was more show than go). So yeah it wasn't the fastest thing on four wheels; but it was agile, well-built, and most of all fun.
The car I eventually bought was a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX (currently stock and staying that way). The truth is I feel kind of guilty for liking my new car so much since I poured a lot of hard work into my old car. The WRX doesn't feel quite nimble as the Integra due to the weight factor, but the power difference is huge. AWD feels way different on a curving highway, it just has this really weird planted feeling. FWD feels good also, but it's a bit more floaty. I guess all I'm trying to say is I love my new car too, but I loved my old car in a different way. It's just kind of weird. Maybe it's also because my plan was always to drive my Integra until the day the engine finally sputtered it's last exhuast breath. Who knows, but it will always have a special place in my heart. It started up even on the coldest winter mornings and was always good to me.
So how has this experience been for other drivers who have moved to new cars?
