KA7/8/9 Legend: whaddaya know?
I'm looking into getting a 1991 Acura Legend (KA#?) but I'm still looking for a little more information. The engine in it is C32, if I'm not mistaken; so it's mechanically related to the NSX, right? The Legend also happens to have its motor mounted longitudally, although it is an FF car. Anyone care to explain that to me? Also, would it be possible later to swap in a new motor, from say... the NSX? *sounds silly I know, but hey, why not?*
So far all I know is that the C32 has good torque characteristics (very un-Honda) and in the Legend, it is SOHC, non-VTEC. I've heard that JDM motors are DOHC VTEC, or maybe it would be possible later to drop in an Acura 3.5RL or 3.2TL motor in there (whichever, I don't know, I'm not particuarly well-versed in Honda motors).
Also, I'm curious as to the Legend's weakpoints and strong points as a car. I know it's very LONG and very HEAVY, but it's in the same vein as other freeway cruiser type cars; such as Toyota's Soarer/Lexus SC400 and the Nissan Cima/Infiniti Q45. The car is about 3500lbs for crying out loud. Not that I'm gonna autocross it or anything, but I'm curious as to how good the handling is on of these things *super wheelbase, after all*.
If you can help me out with any of my questions; or give me any extra information, it'd be greatly appreciated.
