stereo 'clipse problems
help me, i put my aftermarket stereo in my 1996 eclipse and if i turn it up too loud it kicks the amp that powers the cars stock speakers off so i lose sound, any help would be appreciated

So after driving past many auto collision yards i have come to realize that every person that drives a honda thinks they drive a !@$#% ferrari...and that they can pass someone without getting hit head on in 100yds

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall
Torque is how far you take the wall with you

I'll try to help ya... I don't hate on some just because they drive a different make of car. Its been a while since I've messed with audio stuff, but it sounds like the amp is going in clipping mode. The amp has a saftey switch that shuts it self off if the power level is to high. If you have a gauge called gain try turning it down a little...
