that car is amasing. it was a 95 NSX-T. my dad might buy it. What a car, simply amasing. so tight, so quick, light, responsive. it handles like a dream. i went around a turn in 2nd, the owner was with me and he said "lets see how fast you can get it up to." without hesitation my foot was on the gas and i rocketed up to around 105 and left off at 7500 rpms or so. it was awesome. its very easy to drive and is an acura so it has all the little bells and whistles you could possibly want. i drove a 97 911 with my dad the day before and i would take the nsx hands town. so much more friendly than the 911. i havent driven a 996 911, but it would really have to impress me to like it more than the nsx. i would reccomend a nsx to anyone who is looking for a sports car for anywhere from $40-$80. the car is awesome. if you ever get the chance to drive one, do it. it is the finest car i have ever driven. plenty of low end torque, 8000rpm redline, i can go on and on praising this car. i will let you guys know if he buys it. its red, with black leather. one sweet ass machine.

The 1995 NSX-T is THE SLOWEST and the HEAVIEST of ALL NSX model line-ups and the chasis is the least rigid too. The '95 NSX-T's still has the old 270HP 3.0 liter engine with the taller 2nd gear of the 90-96 model year NSX's PLUS the heavy weight of the early Targa models = 0-60mph in 5.5+ sec. (The upgraded 3.2 liter 290HP engine PLUS a shorter gear came much later, in 1997, that can go from 0-60mph in 4.9 sec.!). If you think the 95-T NSX is powerful and nimble, wait until you try the early 90-94 NSX coupes! If that's NOT enough, try the 97+ NSX-T's, that'll get you REALLY excited!! Wanna ride in the ultimate U.S. model NSX? Find a guy that has a Zanardi Edition, hit the john first b4 you strap on, because you're gonna pee in your pants!! :P 0-60 in 4.5 ~ 4.7 seconds, not too shabby for a car not known to accelerate like a muscle car (but DOES) !! THIS car JUST PULLS and PULLS!! The Zanardi can match or even outpace a C5 coupe (not Z06 mind you) on the dragstrips AND handles MUCH better than the C-5 AND the Z06's (Trust me, I've driven both of these cars and I know what I'm talikng about..) !!
(*NOTE* The cars aforementioned here are in bone stock form)
you are very correct. a 97+ NSX would be very nice, so would a zanardi, but they are also more money and i doubt zanardi's are that easy to find. the targas are 120lbs more than the coupes, which is a fair amount, but...i think if i drove a coupe and a targa, i wouldnt notice the difference. if my dad wanted the fastest nsx, he wouldnt waste his time driving a 95 NSX-T, but he just wants something fun to drive. i think this nsx or any other nsx will do just that. this "slowest and heaviest" nsx has plenty of power to get around. plenty of torque and it handles great. i hope he buys this car. he is still thinking about it.
Ok, then it's all good. You DEFINITELY won't go wrong with the '95 - T. NSX is plenty of fun to drive, regardless of model year.
I once thought about getting one of them Red '95-T at this local dealership that was asking ~$45,000 about a year ago. But I soon came across a very unique, collectable and ultra rare edition NSX that was just better in every way, performance-wise (and VERY LOW mileage too- only 7k on the odometer!). To know that the original owner paid six digits figure for this Z #50 and really babied it (yep I did my homework), I thought to myself that their asking price for this NSX wasn't too shabby at all. When I was in that same dealership 4 months earlier, they wanted $89,999.00 !That's like a price for a brand new 2002 NSX! All of the positives of this special Edition NSX I just pointed out, plus knowing that Alex Zanardi himself has the first one and the thought of me owning the last of the Zanardi's (which makes this NSX ULTRA RARE really did it for me; I JUST GOTTA HAVE IT, even when it's slightly above my budgets !!!
So yes, I was extremely lucky to be in the right place and time to come across a Zanardi that was only 15 minutes drive away, regardless of price ( BUT to a certain degree), let alone the special edition number, and I'm still grateful to this day and very honored to have it as my litte garage queen. The only gripe that I have at the moment is that I wish there's a way to show you how wonderful this baby performs! If you go WOW over the handling and acceleration of the 95-T, then you'll definitely GO BONKERS for the Zanardi! Tell you what, if you're ever in Los Angeles for any reason, just PM me and we'll hook up!
In the mean time, I wish you and your dad luck in your hunt for your NSX!
that was a truely lucky find. ive been blessed to see a zenardi up close. it was #35 or #36, i cant remember. i would love to ride in your nsx. i doubt my ass will wander out there from here anytime soon, maybe ill go on vacation there sometime, who knows. my dad is still trying to unload his porsche, once he does that, he will have a NSX in his garage also.
