going by the vid im thinkning its fwd. i no what your al thinkin, hows the thing gunna get traction on street tyres if 1 was to put a nsx engine in smaller honda. i cum to the conclusion the its probly goin to be beter thn ur average turbo b18c because of the extra weight of the engine is in the right place and the pwr comes on more evenly
its possible to take a car that was designed to have an engine over the back wheels that is rwd and put the engine up front and make it fwd.... easier than making the front engined rwd acctually... (a buddy of mine took his fiero engine and dropped it into his sunbird)
do you think you could rear mount the ebgine and have an MR civic/crx? i mean that would be AWESOME! How hard could it be? I mean besides tube chassis-ing the WHOLE CAR. I'm wondering why no one in japan has done this. I mean ef bodys and c30s have to be above a rate of abundance there right???
I heard of a few conversions, they have all been RWD. I'm pretty sure the one in the video is as well. The reason it probably wasn't quicker was to traction. The photo show the hood off the car and if the engine were up front you would have seen it, plus it wouldn't fit. the NSX engine is a very wide angle V6. When you look at it inside the NSX the rear bank of cylinders is actually under the rear trunk cowl slightly. For being a small displacement V6 it's actually quite large. All I know is it must be loud as hell inside that CRX at WOT!!!
