NSX C32 vs. Legend C32

How closely related are the engines in the KA# Legend and the NA# NSX? They're both C32 motors, but one is DOHC VTEC and on is SOHC non-VTEC. Can parts be swapped, or can one motor be dropped into the other? I'm thinking about getting a 1991 Legend and I'm wondering what I might be able to do to it.

I do not think the short blocks use the same internals. However, I believe the transmission bell housings will hook up to either motor. Don't know if the clutch will work.

youd have to find a 97+ NSX engine, if your looking for parts. even then i doubt it would fit. the internals of the NSX engine are hand built and put together. its a DOHC and the legend is SOHC.
the only relationship might be the engine block.

C32A?- 3.2L DOHC VTEC V6- 97+ NSX/NSX-T (290hp)
C30A(?)- 3.0L DOHC VTEC V6- 91-96 NSX/NSX-T (270hp)
C32A6 -USDM 3.2L SOHC non-VTEC V6 - 91-95 Legend Sdn, 91-92 Legend Cpe, 96-98 3.2TL (200hp)

What's the engine code for the 230hp Legend engine? Was that a DOHC?

Even if the stuff did work, could you imagine how much those parts would cost??!!

As far as I know, all Legend motors in the USA are SOHC, non VTEC.
