The "T" model came out in 1995 and has a removable roof.

Very true; for the price of an NSX, you could easily get a Ferrari that is slower and less reliable.

In the NSX-T i believe the "T" stands for Targa. Which is the option to remove the roof as someone said earlier.

"Targa" is a Porsche trademarked word. Honda would never admit that is what it stands for, but it sure seems like a hell of a coincidence.

I think you might be right. But I think the term targa simply means removable top I think. Because isnt the Porsce tage a Carera with a removable top? But i could be wrong.....

But here it some proof for my theory...

The word "Targa" is a registered trade mark of Porsche. It is used to designate a top that has a removable roof section. The fact that some clown on E-Bay used the word has nothing to do with Porsche's owning it. It is just entering common usage (although still legally protected), like the word "Kleenex."

No; a "T Top" has two panels with a bar in the middle like on a Firebird or 300ZX. The NSX has a single panel.

It actually is true that the "T" stands for Targa. And Honda will most likely not admit that that is what it stands for, and that is why they just use the "T".

actually i remember reading an article about the NSX-T specifically referring to it as the 'targa' model with the open top panel (not a T top in which top side panels are removed leaving T bar down the middle). yes, it stands for Targa.
