70 mm throttle body and 3" exhaust

So what do you guys think Iv'e got a K&N intake going to put on a hondata intake manifold gasket and a 70 mm throttle body, Megan 4-1 race headers a test pipe and the 3" cat back. Eventually I will get a spoon ecu and a tune. My question being do you guys think a 70mm throttle body is overkill for the mods I want to do and while were at it what do you think about the 3" exhaust. both products did say the torque would be lowered but hosepower would be increased in the upper end more so if you went with smaller diameters of both. Write me back tell me what you think.

havent heard of anyone making any gains from a larger throttle body. I think the stock size is already a 66 mm.

Also, I think the 3" inch exhaust would be over kill unless you are going boost. Even so alot of owners have put down very decent numbers running a stock exhaust on a custom turbo kit.

Thnx for the input. Allthogh spoon gurantees a 6hp gain from stock to a 70mm throttle bodie but its like 700 bucks. And I figured the 3" exhaust was a little overkill and I plan on goin NA so i'll stick to 2.5". Thnx again.

Why would you buy the Spoon ECu then get a tune???

Then Spoon ECU is very expensive but is also very nice for lightly modded NA cars. If I were you I would not go past a 70mm exhaust and I would get some type of piggyback EMU and tune it.

You talkin like a apexi fuel controller ? This is where I kinda get lost I thought you would get all the parts installed then get it tuned on a dyno right or am I just retarted?

P.S. Not trying to be a dick or anything but I was talkin about a 70 mm throttle body and a 3" exhaust. Also

Thnx for the input though

You will be killing your self with the 3" exhaust though. I know of 300whp NA s2ks that only run 70mm exhaust. You dont need 3" unless your going FI.

And yes by EMU I am talking about the Apexi or E-Manage etc. The point in the spoon ecu is that its already tuned for all there parts. Honestly its not worth the money, you can buy a piggyback emu and get a tune for less $$$ and make more power.

not to sure about the tb but a 70mm(2.75in)exhaust has great gains and the ecu is just a waste of money get a greddy emanage and get it tuned
