I say go boost, inline pro has but down well over 500whp on a stock bottom end and the car is a daily driver, that is not a joke it is a daily driver. I have personally seen inline pro's bossman driving this car around Northern VA like it was nothing special, and it runs on pump gas and puts down high 10's on average

yeah pretty much the only weak internals on the S2000's motor are in the valvetrain. Do some work in that area, and you should have a pretty stout motor to run some boost on.
We all know the S2000 is low on torque, and a bored out 2.4L would definitely make the car "perfect" from a driver standpoint. The extra torque off the line is the obvious gain... as well as the reliability N/A work offers. The extra torque provided when exiting turns would help out a lot too. From my experience on a few autocross tracks and numerous mountain runs... you dont really need any more horsepower. It's got enough... just lacking in the torque department. Even if you had more horsepower, you couldn't really apply it in a lot of these types of racing situations (autox, mountain run, blah blah blah).
Now with the turboed car... it definitely makes for a meaner street machine. The obvious power gains and adjustability are huge pluses in my book. The trick is applying the power

and your theory of cheap stuff is great, but on car like this, do it right, no ghotto of the ghotto fabbing should be tolerated. you are not in same level of thinking/$$$ we all are thinking.
if you want to have a proper motor to have fun out of, you can't do that.
Internals, Top to bottom, that'll have your rev happy mind and motor in safe mannor.
Comon ezeedee, you should know better then this after all these years you've spent on the forums post whoring or just lurking and reading tech info's.
Now, as for displacemt option, I think that is a great idea as for Honda's lack of TQ, that should gitty up the power band in low rpm's as well with back up from tq.
18G turbo should be far enough to have this setup to street awesomeness to teh max in the awesometown.

displacement does play a role in revving capabilities. You can spin a b16 to 9k all you want because the bore is so small that it takes little air to fill it. Thats another reason why small bore engines can run a higher compression on pump gas than that of engines like an h22.
why do you think you see 600cc superbikes revving to 17k and big harleys revving to 9k? But you are somewhat correct in saying that the head is the MOST limiting factor of revving due to valve spring seat pressure.

this is a tough one! my first instinct would be to go with the stroker kit but then i think of how sweet boost would be especailly in a s2k so i say go with the boost!!!

Inline Pro
Inline can build you a beast of a turbo car if you like, or you could do this; this is there 2.7L yes I said 2.7L stroker that revs to 9.3k RPMs!!!
This car was tuned on 112 octane because it has almost 13.1 compresion
