Question I'm lost with how to modify my car, can anyone help me ?

I just recently purchased on '08 S2000, I'm lost with how to modify it. I want tp use it as an everyday car so i want it to be NA, also in terms of exhaust system i know the Invidia is the best but its too loud. So if someone can help me out with the sites and which are the best things to do first and which are the best makes i would greatly appreciate it. I was thinking in the lines of headers, flywheel, exhaust, intake, vtec camshaft (Toda ... is it any good) also is my S2000 an AP1, AP2 .... kinda lost with that too.

Thanks.

Toda is good but very high get the cams if you can as well as the valve springs and retainers, for exhaust I would get Greddy or Apexi. And a high flow cat.
You wont feel alot of gains unless you get some ecu work done either.

Best mods would be a hard top and J's racing intake.

If you really are that lost with what to do with your money, send it to me and I'll put it to good use.

I've been given this speech before when I started looking at mods, and now I'm going to give you the speech. The speech consists of three words:

DO YOUR RESERCH!!! Just asking questions and not checking the stuff out for yourself can lead to some VERY unhapy results on your part.

Exhaust is a biggie because for a lot of people, power gains are not everything, but it's the sound and the look. Some exhausts are tuned to power only, and while they will provide the best gains, they sound like someone is stepping on a duck. Others are tuned to sound and will actually make the car loose power.

Unlike some other people, I'd stay away from DC sports. I've heard a lot of poor results on S2000s. There are a lot of options for good stuff, but you will be paying an arm, leg, and half your brain to get it. Powerhoue Amuse makes some of the best quality products in terms of exhaust, and body components but it will cost you. Their header runs around $1,600, and their Ti exhaust can run a little more. Otherwise, there is Tracy Sports, J's Racing, Mugen, Tanabe, and a bunch of others.
Invidias might not be the best, but they likely are the most popular. There are tons of people here who have them installed, and like them.
The J's intake is really nice, but you have to cut your hood to make it fit. (at least with AP1s)
Hard tops and CF hard tops are a really nice mod. Makes the car look sooooo clean.

If you really have tons of money to blow on your car, and hey, more power to ya, I'd check out two places: Bulletproof Automotive, and Evasive Motorsports. Both have everything from simple few dollar items to CF doors that cost $10G, CF drive shafts, headers, dry sump kits, pullies, interior mods, exterior mods, and other sweet JDM bling. It's easy to break the bank going there.

Also you can put a supercharger in your car and keep it a daily driver. An SC kit like that from Comptech or Vortech (there is a new one coming out, I forget the name at the moment) will add another 100 HP to the wheels while keeping the drivability of the car and not upsetting the ballance. SC kits run around $5G-$6G for parts.

You can also tap into the wealth of knowledge that is available on S2000 Forums (S2000 international)

Otherwise, I'm sure the S2000 guys here will be happy to lend you a hand in putting your money to work.

My two bucks worth.

Here is the link to that new SC kit coming out.

S2000 Forums -> KRAFTWERKS SUPERCHARGER

AP1 S2K posted this on another thread, so he should get the credit. I just coppied the link and plastered it here.

Nice move

There's no other Honda car that can be highly modified like the S2000. I mean, you can play with it, like a canvass while you're holding the paint brush.

Get a hard top, a nice mugs/wheels and get a few Honda OEM parts. This will do the trick and soon you'd be a head-turner!

some people on this page need to shut the hell up because they don't have a single clue what they're talking about.

sorry i'm a bit bitter tonight. but seriously... some of the "mods" they list are generic replies and would most likely reduce the power output of the car.. seriously... shut up and stop giving out misinformation.
