Mountain-man RETURNS!

Out of an odd stroke of weirdness, the dealership I work closely with brought in a trade the day I put in my deposit to start serching for another S. This car was not exactly my choice of color(s), but everything else about it seemed pretty good.

The car is an '03 Suzuka Blue with the blue interior. It only has 9,000 miles on it. It was garaged in winter, driven only on nice days, serviced at that dealership with full reccords. The thing even had the original tires that came on it from the factory. There is barely a scratch on this car. I found a couple minor things and some skuffing on the chin (probably from a concrete parking bumper) but that's about it.
Paid $19,000 for it including certification. The guy who owned it was an older dude who traded it in for an Element. (?!?) Carfax was clean.

Sorry I couldn't take any more pics. I had about enough time to take those and then had to leave for work.

Upcoming mods: mostly the same as the old car (just remove and replace) new stuff: Spoon Monoblocks, but havn't found a set of wheels yet. New chin spoiler possibly with the LEDs V2 job.

The PG5 has its qualities: It's kinda hard to put a kyack in the passanger seat of the S2000. It's also nice when I go places with a larger group of people togeather. I suppose I could strap someone to the hood of the S2k, have two people sitting in the passenger seat, and another strapped to the roll bars in back. If a beautiful woman is going along, then she can sit on my lap. But all that would exceed the weight rating of the car. I would bottom it out before I got moving.
More seriously, though, I live in a state where we have two seasons: Winter and Construction. I used to drive my S year round through snow storms, hail, and all manor of nasty weather. And since I live in the salt belt, I'd have to deal with that again on the S2k. I don't care as much about the PG5 in that it's more of a rough-it utility vehicle. I can load it full of stuff that wouldn't fit in the S2k, and go places I wouldn't dare take the S such as rough gravel roads.
No, when I got that PG5, I was SOOOOOO glad that I didnt have to drive the S2k in the winter. . . . especially since we got nearly a reccord snowfall this year. (105 inches for Milwaukee WI I think.)

Thanks!

I may do a V2 LED job. I have to look into a different chin spoiler than the OE one. Honda discontinued making that, so I'll have to go aftermarket. I know Ive seen the OE style chin spoiler from a number of different materials, however, I might want to try someting slightly different. That would all depend on the ease of fabricating the cuttouts for the diffusers, and recrating the diffusers themselves. I may need to redesign the mounting rail and brakets to hold it all togeather.

I guess right now, the biggest hurddle would be getting my boss to machine the mounting rails for me again. Right now, I only need one. I saved one while the other got torn off somewhere along the freeway after the accident.
I also learned a few things from the first one, such as things that I don't need, and things that I could improve upon.

I think my boss will do it provided I offer some Southern Comfort 100 proof

Congratulations one your find. I'm jealous you found such a great deal on a near perfect car and its an '03. The Suzuka blue looks good, just take better care of this one eh.

It was a very quick transition, I'll admit that much. When I traded my '00 for the old '03, it took about a month and a half from deposit to keys in my hand. This was, I think, very lucky timing in addition to lucky condition of the vehicle. So in a way a two fer.

I took great care of the old car. I took great care of both my old S2ks. Even my DD. It just happened that my silverstone got the unlucky ending of sliding into the wall. . . . at least she went down in all her might and glory.

Put my exhaust, manifold and Spoon plug cover on yesterday! The guy who was helping me (local S2ki guy/shop owner) said it still had new-car-smell.

Looking at Gram Lights 57f PRO wheels right now. Seriously considering. 18x8 front, and 18x9.5 rear (not sure on offset yet, but sizes about the same as my SSRs). Going to call Bulletproof Automotive on monday to descuss sizes and offsets. Got a pretty slick spec-sheet/template from Spoon Sports giving dimensions of thier 4POT calipers. Helps a great deal with wheel vendors finding what wheels they have that will fit both the calipers and the S2k.

I also liked the Volk AX603m wheels. They suposedly JUST came out or are about to come out. Couldn't find a good pic of them for the life of me though.

I could post if if people are interested.
