was an 03 with 24k when I got it....traded it at 51k and they did around 10k worth of warranty work to it....it was in the dealership more than it was on the road.....those things are real bad about trans problems too....almost every owner I talk to replaces the trans by at least 40k

One great thing about the S is that it has a world class 6 spd. Yeah, the eariest model had syncro problems, but after that, the S2K's was touted as one of the best in the world. I'm suprised the Z car had as many problems as it did. I was looking at getting a Nismo tuned roadster before I traded my old S2 in for a newer one. Just didn't have the same feel. Looked at a Lotus Elise and a C6 Vette too. I'm glad I stuck with the S.

I sat in a Lotus Elise. We had a used one at the Caddy dealer here. Man is that thing small. Makes the S2000 seem downright porky in comparison. I'm sure it drives wonderfully though and it's got the Toyota engine which is a plus. Not as practical as the S2000 though. I love the looks of the C6 vette. They finally dropped the dated pop up lights. I just wish it had the quality of the Honda. But, performance bang for the buck, it sure is unbeatable. I'd like to get my hands on a Z06 one day. What finally made you finally decide to stick with the S2000?

I test drove a lotus elise and an exeige or however you spell it.....they were both phenominal cars but then I got to asking some owners about them and they tend to have a lot of issues after 30k so I decided against that.....I was also looking at some rx-8's but then I test drove one and well needless to say SLOWWWW.....the s2000 is just so well balanced in the suspesion, i love the way it revs and the balance of the car is phenomenal.....I think one thing that sold me though was the red/black leather interior....it looks so spiffy.....and as always its a honda so I am already knowing its gonna stand the test of time....and if not always room for improvement with a nice rebuild....either way no getting around it....for the money range I was looking besides the 350 there weren't many contenders ......and damn don't they look soo soo sexy...lol
