I drove an 08 CR a couple of weeks ago. It had the traction control button. Even when we turned it off we were unable to slide the rear end. I have no trouble doing this in my AP1.

I dunno though I was reading a little bit and like high rpm said above the cr doesn't completely turn off but puts it in a somewhat of a race mode traction control....check this out 2008 Honda S2000 - Features - Vehicle Stability Assistā„¢ (VSAĀ®) with Traction Control

No, the VSA off means off, the little yellow light be lit on the dash when its off. It stays off until you push the button again or until you shut off the car. When you start it back up you have to push the VSA button again to turn VSA off. Works the same way ESP does in VWs.
