quick mirror question

Can you guys take a quick look at your outside mirrors, my '06 has the standar "objects may appear closer..." On the passenger side mirror but not on the drivers side...thought that it was a little strange and wanted to see if anyone else had this. Seems trivial but would appreciate if you could look and let me know.

nope just on passengers side.

They etch that on the passenger mirror only because the passenger mirror is slightly convex to reflect a larger visible area and thus will distort the reflected image, making objects in it appear farther away than they actually are. The driver's mirror is flat and so will not exhibit this distortion.

yup, pretty much true for just about every car on the road today... unless you're like me, and bought aftermarket mirrors... in which case they're both super convex.
