ugh.
Nice car, but I'm still really disappointed with the CR... too much like, flashy crap on it... what, with the wing, lip, and the colored stitching all over the interior. If there were vast performance improvements, it might really be something to consider.
I know a lot of people like that interior stitching... but seriously, I see people do that shit in their driveways to their Grand Am's... it's fuckin lame. lol

Ya know, I kinda agree with that. I really wish they did more to the engine and drive train. I know they put more agressive wheels and rubber on, and I know they increased chassis rigidity and refined the chassis tuning. They also changed the suspension setup (lowered it too didn't they? Not sure on that). And also shed a few pounds. The body work is suposed to be aerodynamically functional, not just for lookies. Not enough improvments to merrit the $40,000 price tag in my opinion. True they added the hard-top in place of the soft top, but in acuality, the difference is only around $1000. The drop top, mechanicals and vinal top is around $2300.
More engine/ drivetrain work please, Honda.
Everything else looks pretty nice.

The wheels are going to be the same on the newer Ap2 when they come out. There were a few sneak shots of the CR a few months ago along with some regular 08 S2ks and the rims are the exact same, I dunno about the rubber though.

The ride is going to be about the same as a regular ap2 with a stiffer suspension and some softer tires. One thin nice they did was put in a nice strong brace where the softop was so that will help stiffen up the chasis but that is not really a problem in the S to begin with.
They tested the S on the track and it picked up .2 of a sec over the regular Ap2 and most of that could be just from the softer tires so I still htink its just an ugly ass riced out honda

The only thing different to me is that ugly wing on the back and the stitching. I'd rather get a fully loaded AP2 for $41k

Do we REALLY need to start ANOTHER war here? Seriously, all three cars are so dang close in performance it comes down to a few things: Personal taste in styling, your assometer, and your guttrometer. Even for the 97% of the S2000 drivers out there who can't extract everything the car can dish out. And about the big wing and huge chin spoiler; whoever said that aerodynamic functionality would be something pretty to look at? The main purpose behind those main body additions is to increase the functionality of the car's aerodynamics, not to make it look cooler, or meaner, or ricy by any means. Pretty aerodynamics come on cars that few people can afford.
Besides, there are far worse things that could have been done to the car than what was done.
