S2000 tomorrow
Hey guys just letting you know I should be getting my s2000 tomorrow. I got it for $3,300 out the door. I will be trading in a 2006 Hyundai Sante Fe. I got the Sante Fe for a gift from my grandpa when he passed away in July. So thanks to gramps I can get my dream car, I'm hella excited I can't even sleep, that's why I'm writing so late. Anyways I also had one question for you guys. The back window is kinda foggy cause it's the ap1 with the plastic back window anyways I was wondering if there was a product someone could refer to clean this up a bit? Or maybe I should replace it down the road? Any suggestions are thanked in advance.
Oh yeah and did I mention i'm really excited!!!

What the hell?! I asked (the dealership) about this very thing just after I had bought my MY 2000, and they said I had to replce the whole freaking top, PLUS the mechanism, because it was different! ( I'm not pissed at you, so don't take it the wrong way. I don't think I was a member here when I originally asked the question anyway.) If it's been done successfully, then obviously the dealership was mistaken. Aftermarket item perhaps? I donno.
But back to the subject at hand: There is a plastic polish you can get from any major auto-parts retailer. I forget what it's called though. I might get some more for the headlights because mine are starting to fog.
The stock top with the glass window is sewn directly to the top which means if the glass needs replacement, you have to do the whole top, while the plastic window can be zipped out and replaced seperately.

Thats what I meant, you do have to replace the entire top. Sorry but I do not think you need to replace the mechanism. There is a link to it in the FAQ.
