S2000 Trunk Dimensions?

Having bought a used Del Sol for my son, my wife really wants us to get another roadster. However, what are the dimensions of the S2000 trunk? I need a space that's roughly 24" (front to back) x 30" x 10" for her transport wheelchair. Also, is there a difference in trunk size of the various model years? Her chair will barely fit (as in leaving paint behind) in the trunk of the current Miata - her first choice. But, I want to consider other roadsters with more oomph. Thanks!

you can fit a person in the trunk only if you cut them in half. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR A WHEEL CHAIR OF ANY SIZE.

Thanks for the pic. That looks about the same size as the trunk in the original (NA) Miata - which also does not fit the transport chair.

I stopped at the dealer tonight (Brighton Honda) and the sales manager ripped the trunk apart to try to get the chair to fit. Spare tire cover - gone. Spare tire - gone. (Heck, he said it's only useable on the front.) Left front trunk trim - gone. (Oops, no real gain there.) The verdict was no fit. The rear axles of the chair stuck out a bit too much to fit back into the spare tire cove and the other side of the chair was about an inch too wide to fit. Once I got home, I started thinking again and just may fit if I flip it around. I think I'll visit another dealer, though.

BTW, we're not talking a standard wheelchair. This is a transport chair with 8" wheels that folds up quite a bit.

Thanks. I'm currently enjoy driving my wife around in the Del Sol I bought for my son. When he gets his license in mid-August, we won't have that car around much. I'm planning to look closely at the new Miata when it comes out later this summer.
