so my brother and law can get a sliver hard top for his s2k for like $1500
and its brand new in box what do you all think about it

That sounds too good to be true for a brand new top.If it's for real he should jump on it.I just got a white one for my '07 from adealer in Vegas for $2700.That's about 1K less than retail.Make sure the mounting brackets are included if he gets it.

IMHO I would save the money to put towards something else like into engine work or something! I am biased though cause I like the look of the black convertable top. So I guess if you like the look of the hard top then go for it. Is it any particular brand?

Here is a mugen hardtop for 2,500 which is the cheapest i've seen so yours is a good deal.
