Call of Duty 4 Sells 10 Million
It's a rare milestone for any franchise to reach, but Infinity Ward's modern shooter has surpassed 10 Million in sales over all platforms, with 1.5 million downloads of the game's map pack.

Speaking to News.com, Infinity Ward studio head Vince Zampella confirmed that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has sold over 10 million units worldwide. He did not provide numbers for the game's particular success on PS3, PC and Xbox 360, but he did comment that the Xbox 360 version has become the most successful. Infinity Ward noted that only a handful of games have reached the 10 million unit mark since 2000.
Zampella added that the map pack for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has also sold 1.5 million copies. When asked about why the game didn't release on the Wii, he responded, "it just doesn't fit on the Wii. We thought it would be compromised to be on (that) platform."
