Call of Duty: World at War Revealed? Official Xbox Magazine UK indicates an official name -- and theme -- for the next entry in the ever-popular Call of Duty series.

After last year's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty's next tour is set to return to a familiar theme.
The newest issue of Official Xbox Magazine UK features a story on the next chapter in the first-person shooter series, Call of Duty: World At War. The game, in development for PS3, 360 and Wii, returns to the World War II theme, this one taking place in the Pacific Theater campaign against Japan. Treyarch will be handling development duties for the game, utilizing a modified version of the current Call of Duty 4 engine and adapting it for all consoles -- including the Wii.
Details are sparse, but based on the article, World at War will be grittier than Call of Duty 4. Yell orders to soldiers on your team using a new voice command system, and raze everything in sight with a new flamethrower weapon. Destructible buildings are also being mentioned as a possibility.
Multiplayer will again play a huge part in the game, with support for up to 16 players in a match through Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. There's no word yet as to what multiplayer options will be available in the Wii version.
Activision has not yet confirmed details on this game, but it looks like it could be a major game in the company's rapidly expanding empire.

Well im interesting in how they will make the pacific theater good. Cause I seen many developer try and failed in creating a great game in that takes place in the pacific. The last game I play that took place in the pacific was Medal of Honor Pacific Assault and it was ho hum...

Jungle fighting isn't fun usually. And Iwo Jima would be cool, or Okinawa.
