Eve of Destruction

Anyone here played the Eve of Destruction (Veitnam) mod for BF1942?? I reckon its the best mod to date, way better than DC because its mostly based on infantry fighting, whereas DC has become a bit of a vehicle mod. too many noobs in tanks & choppers. with those damn gun mounted grenade launchers.

Anyone tried the Forgotten Hope mod. its the realism mod for BF42, wouldnt mind trying it.

i used to play DC heaps, but when they added heaps of vehicles & those damn grenade launchers every noob & his dog wanted to play, which ruined it for me.
I'd have to admit, basrahs edge is a cool map, but mostly cause theres hardly any vehicles so its man-on-man fighting.
i prefer EOD cause it has more atmosphere, although it is getting a little boring at the moment. i think in the 0.3 release they are adding Veitnemese aclls instead of the japanese calls it currently has, plus more maps & planes. they're adding a C130 that can airlift tanks, you can lower the rear door & drive them on, like jeeps in the chinook. it still needs a bit of work though.

i really want to try FH, it looks pretty cool, BF42 is a bit to arcade for me. I like day of Defeat for WW2 fighting better.

Yea, since .4j in DC they fixed the nade launcher problem.

In the new .5 they added some new stuff.

I liked EoD for a while but it lost its apeal.
