Yes, it's finally here true believers! Earthworm Jim 4 is in development for... some system that hasn't been announced. Character creator Douglas TenNapel will also bring Jim to new mediums.

Interplay Entertainment today announced a partnership with Douglas TenNapel. Under terms of the agreement, Interplay will re-launch TenNapel's Earthworm Jim character. TenNapel will serve as a creative consultant on Earthworm Jim 4, while helping to develop an animated series and feature film based upon the famous annelid.
This announcement is congruous with Interplay's recently stated intentions to revive its old IPs, including Earthworm Jim. The original game in the series was created for the Genesis by Shiny Studios in 1994. The game spawned game sequels, a toy line and an animated TV series.
