The Big Ticket, fresh off a game one win in the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, will lend all of his energy and passion to the upcoming NBA 2K9 from 2K Sports.

2K Sports announced today that Kevin Garnett will be the cover athlete and spokesman for NBA 2K9. The Boston forward has been to 11 NBA All-Star games and was named the 2008 Defensive Player of the Year, and has helped lead the Celtics to the greatest single-season turnaround in NBA history. Garnett has also developed a reputation for his on-court intensity and passion for the game.
"NBA 2K is where it's AT! End of story," said Garnett. "It's the game I play, the game my friends play, and the game anyone in the league serious about videogames plays. NBA 2K is the real deal, and until 2K Sports find a way to plant an elbow in your chest, it's the closest thing to actually being there on the court.
