k im bored at work so i thought id post this up...i brought my si sedan back in feburary. a friend of mine owns a 2005 sentra spec v with some bolt ons. before i brought the si he always talked alot of smack sayin he knows he can take a Si and his car should run 14s and all this bs....total noob. so i told him once i get it we will run.
after i brought it he keep pushin me to race but i wanted to wait till after my break in period...dont wanna fuck nuttin up. one nite we are hangin out and he brings up how he can take a si....mind u...he never raced one before. he was tellin me how he was happy cuz he beat a b16 swaped 91 hatchback....big deal? so i was like come on lets just race and get it over with.

his car...2005 spec v
nismo cold air intake
header
catback exhaust
short shifter
lightweight pulley
we decide to do a highway pull cuz we couldnt find any where to do a dig. we get on and we decide to start a 40mph....we line up side by side...and i down shift to 2nd and get ready....my car revs up to about 6000 with vtec ready to engage....he did the 3 honks....3rd honk we goo...i started pullin then all of a sudden he flys by me and pulls by a half of car...i take it to 8 grand and bang 3rd... then i start slowin creepin up on him...i hit 4th and im about a fender ahead of him....by 5th i was a car ahead of him and still pullin.
after the race he told me he fucked up downshiftin to 2nd....which idk how cuz he did the 3 honks but it does make sense since i pulled first then he caught up outa no where.....then he told me once he hit 4th he couldnt keep up ne more.
im still diein to do a dig with him but we havent had a chance.
honestly cuz of his high tq and the way he pulled in 2nd...i think he will take me from a dig...but top end the si deff got the spec. post ne comments of wut u think.

so today we finally got to race again. this time way better. we did two runs.
first from another pull 2nd gear 40mph....3 honks...he pulled by a car...and i was at his back bumper from 40-110. deff a good race.
2nd race from a dig. we both had crappy launchs...spin alot...caught traction...both hit 2nd at same time....still side by side....both hit 3rd and he started slowly pulling...then we both let off.
im still stock and he has the same mods.

spec v's are kinda slow. i knew a guy wit a cobalt ss with and intake and pulley and he destroyed his neighbors spec v with bolt ons.

that could be it, that thing was a pretty peppy car.he was probably makin mid 200's hp, and his torque was probably pretty up there too.

yea but both cars 07 si and spec v are supposed to be equal on the track for 1/4 times. hes 200 pounds lighter and has way more tq. im stock and he has a few bolt ons...so for me to be right there with him is pretty good for me. but yea stock they arent all that. i also raced one with just a intake and exhaust and i beat it by 3 cars from a pull.

you are right. a stock ss is underrated. they are rated at 205 hp but they make more than that. damn adm tuner cars
He's not Japanese, he was referring to the languages he can speak. He's capable of speaking English, can probably curse and ask for a beer in Spanish and has heard his girl moan in Japanese in bed

ok so me and the same spec v from above...did 3 more pulls last nite.
1st pull....40 mph...we both start in 3rd gear....3 honks...he pulls by about a car. my car slow cuz not in vtec range....vtec pops...i hit 4th...i slowly start creeping up...then he misses a gear.
2nd pull: 40mph...me in 2nd gear and he starts in 3rd. i pull by a car...he catchs up in 3rd...we side by side till 110.
3rd pull. 40mph both in 2nd gear. 3 honks...he pulls by a fender...in high rpms of 4th gear i slowly start creeping....by 5th im half a car ahead of him and we let off.
best part of all 3 races to me...was i chirped 3rd everytime
