1989 Civic DX vs 1990 Civic DX
Hey whats up guys?? I figured I would tell ya'll about somethin kinda pointless. lol. I have a 1989 Civic DX(also known as a P.O.S.). The only good thing about my car is the paintjob, rims, system, and gas mileage. As far as speed and performance goes...my car is slow. Well here's the story.
Friday night me and the car club were out chillin at our local cruise spot. This group of black guys in civics came up like usual. I saw this car that looks pretty much identical to mine except ts all primered and shitty looking. I had to go to the bathroom at the gas station next to Wal Mart so I drove over by them. The guy drivin the other DX was like "wanna run it?". I said "sure". So when I got back I parked my car behind his and turned it off and me and him talked. I went to get in my car and it wouldnt start. I thought "SHIT!!". So I popped by hood and it was my distributor. It was all nasty and stopped up or whatever. We fixed it and I started it up. Me and the guy decided to go the intersection and do a 1st gear 25-30 mph roll towards a residential area. There was a car in front of me in my lane so we jus rolled for a minute. I honked my horn when I was ready and we took off. I kinda had him off the start but then took off. He got ahead and I got over into his lane and passed the other car and then got BACK over and flew past him. At the enxt intersection we turned around and raced back to Wal Mart but he had me by maybe 3 or 4 car lengths. When we got back he popped his hood and said "sorry to do you like that man". I looked and he had an SI engine swap, cold air intake, headers, full exhaust, pretty much everything possible for a 1990 DX. We all started laughing bcuz we did this for the hell of it.
Well thats my pointless racin story. I have to admit I got my ass handed to me but I WILL have to say that he never got THAT far ahead of me. He didnt "dust" me. It was fun to. Now Im planning on puttin a B18C with LS1 head in my car as soon as I can get $300. Well I hope ya'll enjoyed that.
