like the title says, the drive makes the biggest part in a race, and as we all know and have heard that this is true... this to me is evidence of that fact..
so i was going down to the beer store to pick up some Coronas before i had the boys over for a BBQ last week, and on my way down i passed a bronze lude with the whole body kit thing going on ... he passes me going in the opposite direction... then i check my side view and i see him do a U turn... well here we go ... so he follows me for awhile.. then we get to a double lane, and at the light he pulls next to me, and the doosh didnt even look at me... just sat there revving his engine and holding it at what i guess was his dropping point ... so i waited for the perpendicular light to go yellow... revved it up a bit, our light went green... he finally got to drop of clutch on this screaming motor... first gear he pulled ahead..
(back ground info) my buddie used to own a 01 SH with bolts on's and it would smoke me daily... the h22 is quite a strong engine compared to my D16... but he got rid of that lude, and since then i have done 4-1 headers, CAI, and full cat back, as well as some weight reduction...
ok back to it...
so he pulls on me (and i expected this) i hit second, he hits second.... i crusie on by him.... wait.... i crusied on by him... wtf i wish i could have seen my self drive by... i bet my jaw was on my croch ... and he was not pulling on me at all...
we ge to the next light, i roll down my window... and he looked at me all googly eyed hahah... i said to him "what happen you mis shift" his reply... "no i gave it all i got".... well holy shit did i just beat an 01 sh... by now my legs feel like jellow and i can barly buy my beer at the store
so i get home, tell the guys and then it hit me.... he is just some n00b ass kid who dont know shit about driving... so that kinda put me back to level ground.
but in all honesty there is no way my civic could beat it could it? it was all stock except for intake.... i was running on empty that day, so with that and my gutted trunk and myself im sure i weighed alot less then him, then im running the DC 4-1, tenzo CAI and apexi N1...
yea i woulda been nervous to race a prelude if i had ur car cuz ur car prolly runs better than mine lol but nice kill tho, i mean if he was givin it all he had then thas a good kill to me

good job man. the lude has much more power than your D series... I dont know how you can fuck up driving that bad, but he sure found a way
