ford f-150 vs v6 camero

so my cousin,aunt and i all went to get pizza a while back and theres this guy with a camero and its all stock but he thinks its the fastest thing around and hes wanted to race my aunts stock 03 f-150 for awhile so we get the pizza drive around awhile and we get on the flats almost out of town and we see him gettin ready to pull out so my cuz signals to him for us to race and so and takes off and so my aunt floors it and we pull about 3-4 lengths on him and hold it until 90 then we let off so i was wondering if all v6 cameros are this slow?

well i wasnt saying this was anything spectacualr or anything and was just wondering if it was normal for those cars to have a hard time keeping up with a pretty tame running truck

it gets a little hostile in here sometimes. the v-6 camaros are not too fast, the 3.8 liter man trans in the later models can keep up the the older 5.0 mustangs , the older v-6's w/the 700r4 have decent bottom end and decent top end considering theyre just v-6's. v-8 f150's should be pretty close to even from a dig depending on drivers and whether the camaro is a stick or auto, but the camaro should walk the truck whether auto or stick if the driver is decent and the camaro is running right. i've owned 6 camaros, there is no replacement for displacement. the v-6 is just a camaro econo car

the 3.4L V6 Camaro only has 160hp at 3400lbs..... there is your answer.
the 3.8L has 200hp....

well the trucks automatic and the camaro i realized now has a 3.8 and a stick but at the time had a very heavy sub/amp setup in it
