Thats just a show of how poor of a turbocharging job they did to that car. - no offense derek, but a turbo from a 40 roll should rape a N/A car to 130, even more so if they went through the proper steps of building an engine like he did.

yes and no.....derek runs ultra aggressive gearing and has instant throttle response
and at such low power levels at such low displacement the na car has the advantage at response and tq multiplication.....if he had a smaller turbo and better gearing the playing field would be more level.........i raped my boys 200whp lsvtec with my dinky t25 simply because that thing had instant response and tq in comparison with his more aggresively geared dc2.....t3/t4 only cost 600 bucks for a reason......they are laggy dyno queen turbos when you pair them with tiny motors without anti-lag or 2-step

Theres a kid around here with a similar setup and it takes that POS forever to spool up and accelerate. Its a fast car once it gets going but their build is terrible. I'd imagine this to be very similar.

I think its funny as hell when turbo cars get punked by N/a

well turbo cars and n/a cars are the exact same thing....n/a cars just have to spin faster to maximize their volumetric efficiency while turbo cars have something spinning for them to maximize their volumetric efficiency....

basically a turbo makes your motor more efficient period....the same work done to a turbo car yields greater benefits...they're just more of a headache to take care of with the little shit that always goes wrong

yea, but if you do it right you dont have to worry about that crap. just most junk yard turbo builds dont have the stuff they really need, they just use what they can get by with. - granted eventually you have to fix some things here and there that wouldnt need to be done on a N/a car, but you gotta pay to play.

The integra around here thats turbo'd has massive boost leaks an open dump pipe and probably other things that need fix'n. Then theres a blue one that fails on compression check test(or so they say) but yet it runs ?

We got some ricers around here that are posing as tuners.

About the limit of their knowledge is what parts are what, no science behind anything. They are in desperate need of those tech articles in my sig.

modded turbo cars have headaches end of story....of course since they make more power and it's a pressurized system that will happen.....but then again if you build an n/a hp monster out of a honda almost all reliability goes out the window as well...constant high compression and and revolutions to achieve a drivable power band take their toll on a motor
