My RS-..R vs some eclipse
So im coming home from my buddies house, nice cool evening windows down radio turned up at just the right volume. Get to a traffic light and this Eclipse with a muffler turns into the lane ahead of me. So I follow behind him some take some turns and finally I get to the point where i turn off into the main road, but as luck would have it the Eclipse in front of me is doing the same. So he turns and i do, slowly I get beside him I dont really pay much attention until i hear him downshift and hear the nice sound of a turbo, as soon as I look over at him he guns it and takes off. I layed my foot on the gas just enough to move a little faster. This point we are both side by side I downshifted to 4th putting me at about 4.5k rpm, he does the same. We both look at each other hoping that perhaps one or the other would single the "go" he did, as soon as i saw him turn his face back to the road I downshifted again to 3rd, slamming me at 5.4k rpm....right where i need to be..not one sec later I hear the audible tune of my stage2 cams crossing into *****, i look to the side and im 1 car length ahead pulling and pulling on him...8400prm, shift into 4th...at this point I look behind me and notice he is slowly..very slowly crepping up, i shift into 5th, at this point his turbo gives him a great advantge, considering my tq drops faster then a hooker at a police bust past 4th gear. So I begin to slow down due to traffic coming up fast ahead of me, at this point he gets to the side of me and his buddy asks what engine and work i have done, i look at him and just say "just a B18" I look at him and ask how many pounds of boost he's running and he tells me "15" I laugh.....and drive away into the cool windy night.

really? I had no clue, i thought it was somewhere in the 7-8psi range. Anyway it was a beatup looking one too, stock rims and no drop or anything.

man then mitsubishis must suck, 12-18psi is not safe for daily drive
either that or those cars doesnt take boost very well

srts 4's boost at starts at 12, and can range up to 16 stock.
eclipse run that and more on stock setups..

your right. stock they have probably about 7-8psi, although the turbo is capable of more. so he probably had the stock turbo with the boost turned up.
