if we are talking mountain bikes....shoot man I hit 63mph on mammoth mountain. Kaimakase(sp) downhill race in 96'.

vehicle wise. I hit 135 on a 900RR then I took it back and told the guy I couldn't buy it...would kill myself.

Car wise....hit 127mph in 4th in my civic then when I shifted to 5th it dropped to 115.

So.....127mph in 97dx coupe
120 or so in an 88 ford ranger...my speedo stopped at 85 but my friends avenger was right next me.
145mph in a 78trans am
172mph in an aquaintences farrari.

fasted speed in a civic that I have seen is a ticket my friend got 168mph. Yeah the ticket went along with a nice set of hand cuffs and some metal bars.

just a Q, whats speed limit on American highways? is there always alot of traffic?

In UK the legal limit is 70MPH, instant one year ban if caught doing over 100MPH

But usually everyones doing about 80-90 on the motorways and police dont pull you over

America is big. In TN its 55 mph but it varies state to state. Montana doesn't have a speed limit so 0- infinate #'s there. Interstate Highways in TN are 70 mph. We have light traffic where i live.

I have gone 125 before hitting the needle. I was going down hill at that point. A more realistic top speed would probably be around 115. It starts getting tough to get over 110 for me on flat ground.

are you all driving manual civics, because my friend has a 00 auto ex coupe with aem sr, dc sport header, dc sport catback exhaust and that thing stops at 105mph, so either there are heaps and mounds of bs here, or the stick has the luxury of surpassing that 105 mark...
