Sorry for your loss. The Titanum, the all black 2004, and Repsol were the best colors for the big 1kRR. So you didn't even have a simple disc lock or anything? What about insurance? I carry a little disc lock that fits perfectly under the rear seat and I use it even if I'm just running into the store for a second. Hell my RR even stays locked down and covered in my closed garage. Make sure you give us a riding review of the 2006 vs the 2005 when you get some good riding time. So far I only wish for the chrome pipes on the 2006.
I had insurance, thank god. i actually had an appointment THAT day to get an alarm and motolojack installed. talk about bad timing. i cant wait for my new 06 to come in and be built. i dont like the chrome exhaust, too flashy for me. but to each his own right? i will be writing a review for 05 vs 06, stock.

what kind of disc lock do you have? all i have right now is the steering lock.
That's a sweet looking bike, u dont see that color too often...i just picked up the latest issue of sport rider, and they gave the 06 1000RR the worst rating of all the liter bikes...
I myself, is getting a new bike this thursday...and i picked a Gixxer 750 over an R1...they're the same price!
good to know! i may think twice now, as my second choice was an 06 r1 raven.
I think the CBR1KRR has been in last place since it came out. I thought that was pretty common knowledge for liter bike owners. The 1KRR is just behind the R1 in horsepower. It's well known that the R1 needs to have the tach pressed hard to really make it get busy. I didn't want to be bothered with the Kawi's history of hiccups. The front end styling of the ZX-10 will take some time to get used to, but I can't believe the tacked on looking steering damper that they slapped on the '06 ZX-10 Ninja! The Suzuki GSX-R1000 is due for a major nip and tuck (especially the big hanging pipe on the side) since the GSX-R600/750 twins are new this year.

I thought MSRP for the 750 was $9,999 and the R1 is $11,599. No one should pay sticker price for a liter bike. There is even some room on the 750 also. If for some reason they are selling for the same low end on the price range then, the R1 is generally a way better ride in most cases. The dry weight of the R1 is 22 lbs. more than the 750 but the R1 is a light full liter beast!

Yes the R1 MSRP is 11599, but the dealer, most dealers have hard time moving liter bikes, as not too many people buy them...so with the supply and demand into mind, the 750 will sell a lot better than an R1, so the dealer agreed to drop it to 9999 for me...i dont know where you get dry weight is 22 lbs more than a 750...it's more like 60...dry weight of 750 is 360 lbs R1 is 420...pick up the latest issue of Sport Rider....they weighed all the liter bikes, the R1 was one of the heaviest, at 451lbs wet..
I'm still deciding, but chances are i'm gonna go with the 750...it's light and powerful enough...looks weird with the headlight though but it'll grow on me..
