Cruiser / Street Biker Rivalry??

Hello I dont have a bike yet but am looking at getting a honda CBR 1000 because all of my friends are getting bikes. I just have a quick story and question.

My friend has a 05 Yamaha R1 and was riding here in Southern cali and layed his bike down doing 75. He was doing a wheelie with no gloves on a hot day and his sweaty hand sliped on the throttle and he looped it. After he stoped rolling down of the middle of the street two guys on harly type bikes stoped next to him why he was laying there all fucked up and laughed in his face WTF?? Do harly type guys have something against streetbike riders?? Or was it because he fucked up showboating.

I have a cruiser, and I'm not against crotch rockets.....I definitely would not have laughed and drove off! However, dont expect anyone to feel sympathetic for a person who crashed doing stunts, speeding, and not wearing proper gear on a public road. Even when it's hot out, i still suit up in chaps, jacket, gloves, helmet, and boots. Hope your friend is alright.

i ride sport bikes and probably would have laughed at him to, but thats only because he was doing wheelies at 70mph without gear. in general cruiser riders and sport bike riders get along fine. they wave at me, i wave at them. they're still some hardcore harley guys that'll only wave at/ride with other harleys but it doesnt really bother me. i still give a wave and i'm always willing to ride with anyone. we're all on two wheels, some just like to go fast and some like to cruise.
