newb to bikes.

the only bike ive ever ridden was a lil mini bike, ive always wanted to get a bike but couldnt cuz i live in town. im turning 18 fairly soon and wouldnt mind gettin a bike. what kind of classes or programs could i get into to learn about the rules of hte road with bikes and all that stuff? i just want some basic knowledge of it all before i decide to go out and buy a small bike to learn on.

You should first sign up for a MSF Rider course. I highly recommend it. It was the first thing I did before I got my first bike, the best thing I could of done. Do a search for MSF course on google, and you should find their website.
