wutup yall. i just wanted to start this thread so we dont have to keep updating by game. we all can just talk about the series in one thread.
anyways. the giants controlled the game today. jason schmidt was freaking great! he looked like how he did when he pitched against the yankees. just dominate. rich aurilia is playing like the all star shortstop he was last year. that squeez bunt was crucial. now the series goes back to pac bell. hopefully they can close it out there. we will wait and see.

Schmidt was unstoppable tonight. I love seeing him pitch that way. But he has issues and isn't 100% consistent. Giants definitely have the advantage now with 2 games up, and Ortiz at home.
I think the thing that prevented the Cards from gettin any momentum their way was that throw from Lofton in shallow center to Santiago. That was such a key play I think and that lil 'bang' thing that Santiago did was :
Overall, Schmidt def was a powerhouse in this game. How many K's did he have? 8? Plus like 3 outta the four hits he gave up were singles (2 infield ones). On to PacBell we go...who's starting Game 3? Ortiz?

yes..ortiz is starting the game on saturday. he's the hottest giants pitcher winning is last 8 starts, not decisions, starts. and then after that they have to contend with livan's 6-0 playoff record. if the recent trend continues, look for the giants to close it out in pac bell.
