going backpacking
so yea..thursday night I'm leaving my hosue around 7pm to go on a backpackign trip...get to the trail head about midnight..sleep in the car for 3 horus..and start hiking in the dark. Get to our first stop around 7ish which is about 5 miles in caleld Jordan Hot springs...natural hot springs..great to relax in...take a break to eat..then hike another 4 miles to a place called hells hole..has more hot springs and some waterfalls..do some day hikes and take some pictures...stay there for friday night and saturday night....on sunday we will pack up and go back to jordan hot springs...hang out there..take some mroe pictures..stay there sunday night...and on monday get up and hike out

I've been to jordan twice..and haev never seen one..btu that doesnt eman anything..they have found rattlesnakes in california at elevations above 10,000 feet..and I'm only going to be around 6,500...
but this place has the best water I have ever tasted...straight from the source baby

At least it's cooling down a bit. It was over 100 in Woodland Hills & 110+ in Palm Springs yesterday. Today it's maybe in the high 80's? 
Hope it cools down into the 70's for your hike.  |

its rainign right now outside fresno...so i actually expect to run into snow..especially after all the rains..but i predict comfortable temperatures for the hike

i know this is old .. but i wanna go backpacking .. but my plans for the summer are crap, since my accident.
i went on a sweet 22 day backpacking trip 3 years ago .. one of the best experiences of my life.
