i dunno about "working out everyday" because if you actually work out like lift weights and stuff i don't think its good for you. you might over work your muscles. i'm no expert but i'm talking about from experience and a couple of magainzes i read . i think if you work out a particular body part, you need to give it rest. and if you work that muscle out 2-3 times a week you might over do it. i'm not quite sure but if you gonna go to the gym everyday i say you put off 1-2 days of it just for cardio. give your muscles some time to rest. when i was in my workout days (first years of college, didn't have any hardcore classes), i worked out probably 4-5 days a week. someone please correct if im wrong.

well what you can do is workout your upperbody every other day, and then on your off days, workout your legs. But its better if you get rest. Going every day will wear on you after a while. So i think every other day is best because one of the most important things for muscle growth, is rest. Muscles need time to repair, and if they dont get the time to repair, then they will never grow. Or do some cardio on your off days. If you go three days in a row, and then rest, that works as well. Good luck with whatever you decide.
leave yourself with some offdays. let your muscles rest while its building, hence the sore feeling. then come in whenever you feel like its time to work hard again
I got the Arnold Schwarzennegar (SP?) Encyclopedia of Body Building and what I got from it is a 3 day split workout. I use 3 days to work out my entire body, and I cycle through that twice a week. So I workout 6 days a week and one day rest. I do chest and back one day, bis tris and shoulders the next, and then legs the the third. Works great... seen a lot of progress, and i haven't gotten hurt (at least not from lifting weights).

You shouldn't work out the same muscles 2 days in a row. It's not bad to do weight training back to back if its different muscle groups. It's not bad to go to the gym everyday. They say you should do at least 30 minutes of cardio everyday. I guess it all kind of depends. Everyone has there own mindset on this. Just don't over do it and take a break at least one day a week, or even an entire week every now and then. Good luck on getting buff!!
10 minutes of cardio
then I run through a circuit that they have set up it's 15 machines that work every muscle in your body if you do em all
20 more minutes of cardio

i actually read in mens health, that you can do your major workout of one of the muscle groups lets say, monday, and then on tuesday, you work those same muscles groups, but with much lighter weight, it helps to generate more results. Ive always been skeptical about that, but from what they have said, it builds your muscles faster. But ya. Uh.... Everyone vote for a weight lifting section

by cardio I mean treadmill....
I do that on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Wait.......what is your goal? To lose fat OR gain muscle? Can't do both at the same time.
Fat does not turn into muscle and vice versa. Fat cells stay fat cells and muscle cells stay muscle cells.
When your muscle mass increases, you actually have the same number of muscle cells. They are larger because the cells have grown in size, not multiplied. When you do not exercise, the muscle cells become smaller. They do not turn into fat cells.
Increase in fat cells is a result of your body storing unused calories.
As an example, if you have 10000 muscle cells in your body, you can gain 100 pounds of fat and still have 10000 muscle cells. You can then get liposuction to remove the 100 pounds of fat and still have 10000 muscle cells. You can take all the steroids in the world (which is wrong) and become Mr. Universe, you will still have 10000 muscle cells.
In any case, I just wanted to clarify that. Keep on working out.
when i work out for football they only let us workout monday, wed , fri. gives the muscles time to heal and all that good stuff. it works the best for me like that.

You're going to kill your muscles dude. You should concentrate on a muscle group a day, say chest. One one day a week kill your chest with some tough excersises. The way to do it is not by number of excercises but by the difficulty of each excercise. Also, you can either get bigger muscles, or lose weight. Doing them at the same time becomes impossible, and you will not mad progress toward either goal.
