anyone into the Martia arts and competes?

ive been doing boxing for 4 years now and wresling in my highschool for 2.

Just such fun sports and they are more of a headgame then anything ele. I also like the individualism of the sports none of the 'team' BS lol.

I do Muay Thai kickboxing. 8-1 record. MMA's fun to watch, but i'd prefer to stay in Muay Thai, ground game's just not really my thing. It gets kind of annoying cause when people ask what i do the next response is "So r you gonna do UFC?" Maybe one day i'll try MMA but i'd rather master one art first before i tackle the ground game.

very nice man. I just sorta hoped straight into it. ground is what I like more then the standup dont knowwhy. Im just a lanky mofo and can leverage well when on the ground.

I am beggining to train for mma, seems like a fun thing to do. Although I fear the guys with muay thai experience because there is a lack of defences against those types of moves. Anyways I looking forward to getting my ass kicked a few times and hopefully put some people in arm bars, triangle chokes, and maybe even a muay thai grip!!

one of thesse days id like to give it a shot, im a small guy just 5-11 brown belt in tae kwon do, home taught ninpo for 6 years, and taking up aikido im not really a fan just wanna see what i can do without killing someone, i havent trained for comp. i just train to live

Yes, I have wrestled HS 2 years and doing BJJ since June. My BJJ grappling record is 2-2 and amateur MMA record of 1-1-0, both by RNC. I weigh in at monstrous 135 lb at 5'8''

Having met them both, I'm just gald Chuck came out on top.

I hope he gets a chance to rematch w/ Wanderlai some how. Chuck's 37 or 38 or so and I'm wishing something can be put together before Chuck starts to feel the effects of age.

Randy Couture is coming out of retirement to fight in the UFC once again.

Randy drew against Jacare in the last Sub-X submission wrestling show here in SoCal a couple months ago, so maybe his competitve fire has been relit.

Anybody watch the UPN's debut of the IFL? Just wondering how it went down. If the show was watchable or if it wasn't that entertaining?

BTW: Pride took place in LV this weekend. I got offered tickets but didn't want to travel to LV.

Now that I know the results of the Henderson/Ax Murderer match, I wish I went...

My bad, I think the IFL shows will begin in March. I forget which teams will be facing off. I think one was the Marco Ruas team.
