Mike Tyson was announed the retirement after the fight tonight...i know he lost the games tonight but i still think he is a greatest boxer all the times...
ya i didnt get to see it but i wanted to he will always be my favorite of all time i just watched the interview they had of him on ESPN.com no excuses he said it how it was hes old now but still badass in my book
He was a bad mofo, but the best of all time is M. Ali. Hands down, he was the best. Its sad to see Tyson like this. I was hopeing he would go out on top. He was only fighting for the money anyway.
can't even name one great fighter in thier prime that mike ever beat. he thrived on the mediocrity of the heavy wieght division.
As Steven A. Smith said, "He beat whatever was put in front of him in his prime." Mike couldn't help that his competition wasn't up to par with the top 3 fighters of all time. We can argue about the mediocrity, but we can't argue about Tyson beating the shit out of whatever stepped in front of him, and we can't argue about his 50-5 record going into last night. He is one of the great fighters of our time...
Wish Iron Mike would've won last night...I was jumpin off the couch when he was lighting up McBride but it was obvious that there wasn't much fighting left in his eyes. I just saw a bit on SC from a pretty intelligent journalist, "Tyson is trying to become an adult, and adults don't let their rage define who they are." It's an interesting perspective on the issue. I thought everybody was way too hard on Tyson after the fight...after everybody was saying how great he was during the fight.

Tyson was and always will be a great fighter in my book. If you ask me I think the dirty part of the boxing business got the best of him and twisted him. Notice how nobody wants anything to do with him now that he is in his worst spot? I bet if he was knockin fools around people would be singing a different tune.
I feel bad for him, but I think he can do well if he puts his mind to it by becoming a trainer or an advisor. I wish him all the luck in the world....the man deserves it.
I'm a fan of Tyson the boxer, but not Tyson the person. Among other things he's a: convicted rapest, admitted wife beater, admitted mugger, plus he kicked the old dOOd in the nuts after the traffic accident, etc. etc. etc. etc. Oh and he wanted to eat Lennos Lewis' (non-exisistant) children.
Somebody on the radio mentioned that now would be the time for Roy Jones Jr. & Tyson to hook up for a match. That made some strange sense to me. Tyson always had probs with bigger opponents (Lennox Lewis, Evander H., Buster D., etc.) so maybe a bout with RJJ is just the kind of intrigue that both guys need right now.
Poor mikey. Shit the man was an animal in his prime, but something changed his game and he was never the same. Age has nothing to do with his suckage.
