TSX Leather Cracking?
hey guys...
so my wife's car was sitting in the backyard on a early spring, rainy day and a few days later i noticed that for some reason all the windows were open about a quarter of the way down. i don't know what exactly happened, but the result was a very damp interior, but soaked leather seats...
now into early summer, and now the leather is not as clean and smooth like they used to be where they got wet...
is there anyway to remedy this?
reupholster the seats?
condition the leather?
has anyone had similar problems with the windows going down while the car sits for a few days?
we have a tsx as well and we never had a problem with the windows coming down for no reason but as for your leather i suggest clean it with a leather cleaner then get some high quality conditioner and just go on that like a fat kid on cake.

yeah you should purchase so sort of leather care, which will be applied on to the seats. this will not take away the cracks that are already there, but it will help prevent the crack from cracking anymore or spreading.

Not sure if you know, but on the remote if you hit the unlock button once, and then hit the unlock button again and hold it in, it will automatically lower all the windows. So perhaps someone accidentally did this and the windows opened a little (they stop lowering once you release the button.)
I had that same problem with my mom's 02 maxima Se. I mean i convinced her to tint the windows to at least save the interior a little bit. I've been told it helps a bit, but the police aren't too crazy about it. I've cleaned the seats with the leather conditioner and it still shows a little cracking. I love leather seats though. I can't stand cloth seats in my accord, but thats just me.
best bet is to buy leather conditioner and set it all up, i dont have leather seats but on all my leather boots, straps and various biker jackets..jk lol but yeah just a little bit of future preventitive maintnance, unless you wanna shell out a pretty penny for some new seats
