Mods: H22A and ECU, exedy clutch, CAI/H/E..some extras sitting in the garage and on the car, i'll keep u posted. 18" White Racing Harts. Type S seat covers and airfreshner and Ashtray!! Saving up for a lot of parts. Rebuilding whole L-side of car except door, headlights, bushings and suspension.
What's available for the TSX?
I'm looking at possibly getting rid of my 5th gen lude and buying a new TSX.
I wanna know what kinda performance mods are available for this car.
What parts are interchangable between other K series engines?
What are the main differences between the USDM version and Euro Accord Type R version? Engine differences?
What kinda exterior mods are available for the car? If i get the car I'll probably just get the oem lip kit from the dealer, but i'll save the money if there are some nice jdm alternatives or non-usdm alternatives from honda or reputable companies.
Basically if nebody could post some links of sites that have parts for the TSX, all the sites or a list of all the parts would help me out a lot.
Especially any site that offers a lot of info on the different non-usdm versions of the TSX would be much appreciated.
I wanna figure out whether or not this is gonna be a good project car or at least some stuff i can do to it while i wait for more aftermarket parts to come out for it.

and i know the euro R comes with a 2.0 I-Vtec engine, would it be possible to put this head on the the 2.4 block?
What engine is most similar to the one on the tsx? Is the vtec on a tsx more like a base RSX or a Type S RSX?
Which heads could i swap onto this engine? and what is the difference. I know near nothing about K-series engines.

but that doesn't make any sense why would it make the same power? I've raced RSX's with the K24 block put in and those things are ridiculous.
I can't imagine a 2.0L ivtec engine making as much power as a 2.4L ivtec engine with the same vtec. Unless the compression is really different.

The USDM TSX uses an upgraded version of the USDM's Accord K-24 2.4 liter engine producing 200hp. The TSX is designed to be luxurious, and comfortable while keeping a sporty ride. Compare that to the JDM Accord Euro-R which uses a 220hp 2.0 liter from the JDM Integra Type R, and has a more aggressive/harsher suspension setup than the TSX.
So.....the main diff is that the Accord Euro-R is a more aggressive car with racing in mind, while the TSX has more low/mid-end torque and combines luxury+sport.
I got one and I love it. Only gripe is it doesnt handle like the 'lude. 6-spd kicks ass. Trust me you'll love it

I haven't driven a TSX but i wanna get an idea of how its gonna be like
I'd like to know the same thing. I'm still really considering ditching the lude and its pretty much in between a new RSX type-S or the TSX an I'd rather have the TSX. I think I'm gonna have to go test driving.
So I guess I'm thinking if I get the TSX I will do the following.
Factory lip kit, Type-R Head, TODA cams and valvetrain, the awd(crx) option they offer on the jdm ones. I'm not sure what I'd be able to do with pistons, but I'd like to run a factory piston wiht a higher compression. Custom headers and suspension later down the line. So I guess I'm seeing the potential for this car as something which could become a project car. Still almost shed a tear when I look at the lude and think of selling it.

I picked up a brand spanking new TSX this past saturday straight off the truck. 6mt w/ Navi. The thing is pretty quick, and it feels awesome, and it looks absolutely gorgeous. No mods planned yet, but hondata might be in the works sometime in the future. I'd say get a TSX if you want sport luxury. The torque is pretty amazing for a 4 cylinder. I'm very impressed with it.
BTW, good luck getting an 05. If you can, do it now while the prices are still low. Once the slightly changed 06's come in from mid-november to mid-december, dealers will most likely be selling them near MSRP.

While I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, I did find this place which has all TSX parts: www.tsxparts.com. Their prices probably aren't super great, but I don't think that they are super bad either.
