I have a '04 black tsx I want to put some rims on, but Im debating on 19" or 20". Now please keep in mind that I have been modifying cars for about 8 years now. My last car was a '92 Prelude Si with 18" Axis 7's , 18" Konig Tantrums, 18" TSW Trophies, and a set of very classic 17" Jacnife F24's when I had the 18"s on it I was running the Nitto NT-450 215/35/18 tires and I had 2.25 drop on Neuspeed Race springs with the yellow Koni shocks. so Im no stranger to the lowered dangers.. Now I know that I can easily get some 19" wheels and 215/35/19 tires and for the 20's well thats the issue because I know that they make the 225/30/20 tire now but how safe is that and how does it look lowered or not lowered?
Here's i pic of my tl with 19' and the tein ss suspension, I'll say go with 19' at the most, you'll get the idea from this pic.http://members.tripod.com/ri-sho/14.jpg
I'd go with 19's. Besides IMO I think 20s look the best on bigger cars ex:Benz SUV's those Dodge Magnum wagons. So, definately go 19's . Also you'll be going up 2 sizes anyway..

Benzes and bigger cars don't use 20's. 22's are the normal size for big cars like that.
I have black 20" Maya STM's on my TSX, and I get nothing but positive feedback from all types of people (even older 40+ people)
If you get 20" chromies then they'll definitely look too big. It's all a matter of the finish.
