Active Voltage Clamp FCDs - Fuel Cut Defenders

Active Voltage Clamp FCDs

These are active voltage clamp fuel cut defenders, used for adjusting the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) or MAF/MAS (mass air flow) sensor's output so you can feasibly turbocharge your N/T vehicle, without alarming the ECU and causing fuel cut.

These are not passive resistor/potentiometer/transistor voltage regulators. While both devices achieve a similar result, the passive devices do so by essentially creating a crude linear voltage regulator. The disadvantage to these types of FCDs is that they usually create at least a 0.6V voltage drop throughout the entire MAP sensor output range. While it doesn't seem significant, the lowered voltage actually inhibits your stock ECU from making accurate A/F ratio measurements and adjustments.

These FCDs use a more complex circuit to provide the following features:
  • Quick and Accurate Voltage Clamping Rather than adding resistance to the entire MAP/MAF output range, these FCDs will only clamp down the output voltage down at a user specified maximum level.
  • Minimal Noise Absorption The circuits have a built in filter, which removes unwanted noise. They also feature protection from the voltage spikes that are characteristic of a car's electrical system.
  • Sturdy Construction These FCDs are built on printed circuit boards layed out specifically for this application. The protective cases allow you to easily mount the unit in virtually any of the cooler areas of your engine bay. The units are handmade domestically and tested by a real person (not a machine overseas somewhere!) with quality components. They are also water/chemical resistant.

The last thing you want is to worry about fuel cut while you're cruising down the street. With these FCDs, I promise you that won't happen. Each FCD comes with comprehensive instructions, plus I offer full support for my product online.

Each FCD is shipped as promptly as possible. Each FCD is pre-tuned on the bench for a MAP/MAS using a +5V reference signal, although I recommend that you fine-tune the unit once it's installed.

Pricing
  • Bare Unit Each bare FCD is $44.99
  • Cases If you wish to purchase a case with the bare unit, please include an additional $4.99.
  • Shipping Please add $3.49 to your total to cover shipping.
  • Bulk Orders I welcome inquiries about bulk orders for possible discounts.

I fully stand by my product. Although it hasn't happen yet, should one of my FCDs cease to function, or arrive to you DOA, I'll work with you to either refund your money or repair/replace the unit.

Reputation
I know this forum relies on systems of reputation to bring security to its members. If you are uneasy about any transactions with me, please contact me for my eBay user name, and a list of references. I want everyone who does business with me to feel comfortable that they are getting the product and service that I am advertising.

Contact
Please feel free to contact me at sales@symtechlabs.com, or via AIM at "Tgr8883." I try to reply to e-mails and IMs as promptly as possible. I look forward to hearing from you!

These FCDs are comparable to the units HKS sells for more than $120. I urge you not to skimp on this crucial component of your turbosystem if you seek reliability.
