I can't remember if I am to use an o-ring with this plug or not
A long, long time ago I installed this plug because I was installing a 2 way aftermarket fuel rail. Well, with the swap complete, the fuel rail would not stop leaking so I reinstalled the OEM rail and removed the plug for the fuel line to enter the FPR.
So, I am trying to figure out if I have to use an o-ring for the install on the Aeromotive FPR. I believe it's not needed 1) it's not on the fitting 2) I believe the guy at Summit (where I purchased the plug) stated because it's tapered, an o-ring is not needed.
Here is the fitting:
Here is a pic of the fuel rail reducers:
Maybe an o-ring is a great idea
Thanks for any help

Do you have any rubber isolators for the ecu? With it mounted on the firewall it will experience a lot of vibration from the motor and hasport mounts. Remember how the stock ecu is held in place by rubber footies and only a single bolt?
Those vibrations can damage the connectors/pins. The stock wiring harness clips in tight, so they might be fine, but your usb cable for k-pro could be damaged.
I'd also recommend a little weather stripping around those open holes that the wiring is routed through. vibrations could cause the wiring to get chaffed.. $2 of stripping could save you a lot of headache down the road.
^^^ dynomat? wont it slide out/around if there's nothing securing it on the sides?
It's a tight fit as is, but to secure the ECU at the sides I have an idea. I originally was thinking about installing a strap across the ECU, but I want it to be convieniet if I need to remove.

Not sure what these are. The stock civic just had the metal back brace & gold bracket securing the ECU. It was definitely a solid mount though.

Are you referring to the Type S holder with rubber footies? I'll figure out a way to secure it and eliminate the vibrations.

I definitely won't be leaving the USB cable in.

Yeah, I have some gator stripping for the edges where wires run through. I need to install it though. Good eye
I'll definitely have pics of when I finish the ECU brackets up
That looks awesome I love the look of that car, it was also in VWPerformance Magazine, I think it's the same one, I think it has BBS's and it looks F*cking DOPE. Color looks great too.
